Doyle Wayne Hocutt, 75 of Waxahachie, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 in Dallas. He was born to the late Luther and Lula Mae Haggerty Hocutt March 26, 1935 in Ben Wheeler, Texas. Wayne enjoyed fishing and hunting. He married the love of his life, Shirley, on June 17, 1955. He enjoyed Country music and was an avid listener of KBEC in Waxahachie. Wayne had many friends and everyone always enjoyed the great times at the "Hocutt Hangout" sitting around picnic tables, having fish fries and spending time with each other. Wayne's favorite times were hanging out with his grandchildren and family. He had a big heart for kids and loved helping others. Wayne leaves behind a host of friends and family that will continue loving him and will always miss him. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley Nell Holley Hocutt of Waxahachie; his son, Daryl Wayne Hocutt and his wife, Mandy of Waxahachie; his daughters, Cheryl Turner and her husband, Gary of Rowlett, Tammy Harper and her husband, Carl of Waxahachie, Elaine Morton and her husband, Montie of Emory; his brother, F. D. Hocutt and his wife, Judy of Red Oak; his sister, Louise Lambert of Abilene; his grandchildren, Zach Turner and his wife, Mia, Ronnie Morton and his wife, Julie, Iva Davenport, Jackie Solano and her husband, Joseph, Amber Kelso, Laci Hocutt, Tyler Hocutt, Will Hocutt, Renee Turner Davolio, Kendal Harper, Carl Harper, Jr., and his wife, Maribeth and Kristen Harper; his great grandchildren, Trevor Morton, Kaylie Morton, Max Davenport, Layla Thomas, Nicholas Jaden Morton, Haley Morton, Eliot Davolio, Dillon Morton, Caleb Harper and Tripp Harper; he was also survived by many extended family members and a host of great friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brothers, Howard Hocutt, Melvin Hocutt, Harold Hocutt, Jr., and Cleo Hocutt; and also by his sisters, Eva Mae Mewborne and Hazel Mae Stout. Services to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
