Douglas Johnston

Douglas Wayne Johnston 84 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Saturday August 29, 2020. He was born in Kerens, Texas on February 2, 1936. Douglas graduated from Corsicana High School. He was married to Georgia B Johnston on June 2, 1956 in Dallas, Texas. Douglas worked as a store manager for Safeway. And was a member of Highland Meadows Church. Preceded in death by his father Roy, and mother Eva and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his spouse Georgia Johnston, Children David and Cathy Johnston, Donna and Don Cofer, and Daryl Johnston. His grandchildren Natalia and Mark Meltabarger, Leah and Jason Tisdale, Bradley and Nicholas Cofer, Mallory and Justin Rie, Briana and Peyton Perrier. His Great grandchildren Ethan, Aidan, Landon, Emma, Lucas, Amoree, Kaidyn, and Robert. His brothers and sisters Edwin Johnston, Carol Annette Dugan, Evalyn Johnston, and Charlotte Finch. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday September 3, 2020 at the Preston Bend Cemetery, Pottsboro Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday September 2, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Pat Boze Memorial Chapel Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
