Dorothy Wade

Dorothy Crow Wade, age 86, of Maypearl, peacefully passed away at her home Monday, February 20, 2017. She was born June 07, 1930 in Tom Bean, Texas to Lora & Vernon Dodson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maypearl.

She married Norquist Wade February 14, 1981. She loved to play 42, Uno, Jenga and Chicken Foot. Her greatest love was to dance and she could cut a rug. Dorothy was a very outspoken person with a big heart. When her grand babies were sick, she was the cure all with her homemade remedies, aka chicken and dumplings. She will be remembered for her home cooking and her will to take care of others. She loved living in Maypearl where she raised her family and stayed close to friends.

Survivors include her husband Norquist Wade of 36 years. Children, Lew & Lana Crow of Hillsboro, Texas, Lee & Beverly Crow of Maypearl, Len & Peggy Crow of Hillsboro, Texas, David & Rawlete Wade of St. Clairsville, OH and nephew Perry& Alline Gonzales of Rockwall, Texas. Grandchildren: Tami Crow, Jason Crow, Bart Crow, Lynn Crow, Brooke Crow-Hunt, Kelsey Washington, Greg Markwardt, Shelby Crawford, Jade & Jett Wade.
Great Grandchildren: Kaylee, Kynlee, Kylee, Jaxson, Addie, Ka'Maya, Haidyn Blake, Townes, Everly, Carson, Khelden, Parsons, River, Ava, Audri, Megan, Maddie and Marley. Great great grandchild Hayes Andrew. She was preceded in death by her parents Lora and Vernon Dodson and 2 sisters: Carol and Opal.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 1:00 PM, a memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
