Dorothy Story

Dorothy Parten Story, 95 passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Dorothy was born on October 15, 1919 in Ellis County, the daughter of Katie Moses and Cleo Parten. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church. After retiring from the Dallas Morning News, she and Clyde, her husband of 59 years retired from Dallas to Waxahachie. She volunteered for the Waxahachie Baylor Hospital Auxiliary for a number of years, Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Pat Davis of Arlington, Texas; Son Bob Story and wife Bassima of California; Son: Gary Story of California and Son: Bill and Anita Story of Rockwall, Texas; She has 5 grandchildren: 10 Great Grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia Booher, and sisters-in-laws: Betty Parten and Ruth Parten and numerous cousins and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clyde, as well as her grandson, Mark Story and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:30 PM at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry W. Lemon officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. Grandsons, Great Grandsons and Dan Story, Travis Ford and Michael Ford will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:30 pm to 1:30 PM prior to the start of the services.
