Dorothy Faye (Hobbs) Stinson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother stepped over into Glory to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday December 30, 2019. Born November 25, 1939 in Bristol, Texas to Arthur Washington Hobbs and Lois Lorene (Johnson) Hobbs, she married Bert Thomas Stinson in July 1953.
Dorothy had a love for life that shone through every gift she possessed, which were many. She loved fishing, hunting, singing, dancing and enjoyed life to its fullest. One of her greatest gifts was hospitality and whether she was entertaining in her home, the piney woods, the lake house or the beach house, everyone was well fed and they understood that they had not just had a great meal, but that their very soul had been fed with her gift of love and hospitality. Dorothy overcame many obstacles in her life and credited her deep love for her Lord and Savior as the source of her resilience and strength. She taught us a great many things that we will cherish but the greatest of all her teachings were for our eternal salvation. If you knew Dorothy, you knew her Savior. We find great comfort in knowing she is finally home. Thank you for loving us more.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Lois Hobbs, brothers Gene Hobbs, Burl Hobbs, Ernest Hobbs and sister, May Ward. She is survived by sibling’s brother Bobby Hobbs, sisters Mildred James and Ruth Cady and many many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She loved her children, Randy Stinson and wife Susan, Janice Williamson and husband James, Joanna Richardson and Joseph Richardson. She adored her 10 grandchildren Brandy Zeigler, Carmen Shelton, Kally Crow, Cass Stinson, Jessica Thompson, Jared Williamson, Jolyn Becerra, Joel Richardson, Jennifer Paul and Jeremy Richardson. Her 20 great grandchildren brought her much joy, Bailey Zeigler, Keely Zeigler, Mackey Zeigler, Caden Mills, Brylee Mills, Cooper Mills Hunter Shelton, Jaxson Crow, Addie Crow, Everly Crow, Lane Stinson, Brinn Stinson, Brady Stinson, Ella Stinson, Davis Thompson, Levi Thompson, Maxwell Thompson, Halle Becerra, Eli Becerra and Saira Paul.
