Dorothy Dean Stevens Patten passed away on December 6, 2009 at athe age of 81. She was born March 24, 1928 in Lone Oak, Texas to Ray and Annie Myrtle (Tune) Stevens. Dorothy graduated from Lone Oak High School, and as an adult attended college and received an Associates Degree. She married Billy Joe Patten on October 4, 1947 . They were married for 62 years and have one son, Norman Ray Patten. Dorothy was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.

Her survivors include her huband, Bill Patten of Midlothian; her son Norman and wife Susan of Cedar Hill; Grandchildren, Amy Patten Havens, Eric Lane Patten and Lynn Marie Patten, and one Great Granddaughter, Reese Anne Patten. Also surviving is her sister Fay Stevens as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 4 to 6 PM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10 AM in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:30 PM at Hall Cemetery, Lone Oak, Texas.

At her request, memorials may be made to Cherokee Home for Children, PO Box 298, Cherokee, Tx. 76832.
