Dorothy Elmore

Dorothy Faye Elmore, 74 passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at her residence in Waxahachie. Dorothy was born April 20, 1937 in Italy , Texas to D.D. & Daisy Buchanan. Dorothy was a faithful member of The Avenue Church in Waxahachie and loved working with babies in the nursery. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Elmore of Waxahachie; Daughter Darla and husband Mack Thompson; Grandchildren: Brittany and Alex Thompson of Plano , Texas . Sisters: Joyce Townley and husband John of Waxahachie, Jo Ann Allen and husband Tommy of Waxahachie and Margie Murray of Italy , Brothers: Willie D. Buchanan and wife Linda of Italy, Travis Buchanan and wife Carolyn of Italy, John Buchanan of Waxahachie; 3 Brothers in laws: 4 Sisters in laws and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Jennifer Rena Tucker. Dorothy had many friends and immensely enjoyed her camping family Glynn and Janie Moses of Waxahachie. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor David Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Waxahachie. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
