Doris Nuzum December 21, 1925 April 08, 2011 Doris Nuzum, age 85, of Waxahachie, Tx. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 08, 2011. She was born December 21, 1925 in Slaton, Texas to R.H. & Elsie Crabtree Curry. She was a member of the Creekside Church of Christ, she loved her family, friends and church family and was a wonderful Mother, GrandMama, Great Grandmama and friend. She was a wonderful counselor and allways had good advice. She served on the Desot City Council for 4 years, member of the Widows Club an avid reader and a member of the Book Club and a member of the Widows Club. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her Son & Daughter in law: Rick and Brenda Nuzum of Waxahachie, Tx., 1 Daughter and Son in law: Carla and Edward Eason of Waxahachie, Tx.; 1 Brother: Richard Curry, Jr. of Waxahchie, Tx.; 4 Sisters: Merle Walker of Waxahachie, Tx.; Lillian Murdoch of Temple, Tx.; Ann Corley of Sherman, Texas and Brenda Dobbie of McKinney, Tx. 8 Grandchildren: Jill Yates, Traci Morgan, Kristi Watton, Krista Viers, Kelsey Nuzum, Jamie Nay, Lorie Adlof and Keri Green. 16 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Nuzum in 1991, 1 Daughter: Patricia Ebar in 1971, 1 son: Scott Nuzum in 2005, 1 sister: Violet Johnson, 1 Grandson Eddie Eason in 2002 and a Granddaughter: Dena Pat in 1983. A celebration of life is scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Dean Kilmer and Walter Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Burial Park in Waxahachie. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
