Doris Monteaux

Doris Francis Jones Monteaux, 89 of Red Oak, departed this world on Saturday, September 23, 2017. She was born to the late, Clarence Oscar and Pearl Jones on June 11, 1928 in Knott, Texas.

Doris is preceded in death by both parents C.O. and Pearl Jones, first husband Joseph Close, second husband Martin "Marty" Monteaux, son Douglas Close, grandson Jody Close and four brothers Clarence Newton "CN" Jones, Donald "Buck" Jones, Billy Ray Jones and Johnny Warren Jones.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Willard "JW" Close and two sisters Geneva Sue Howell and Melba June Cody. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Doris retired as an Executive Secretary from the Rock Tenn Company of Dallas TX after many years of dedicated service. She loved dancing, golfing, outside activities and of course her Dallas Cowboys. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from Noon until service time on Friday.
