Doreen Bell

Doreen J. Bell, 80, of Waxahachie Texas passed away with her husband and grandchildren by her side on December 17, 2019.

She was born on July 29, 1939 to Jewel and Bill Dellinger. Doreen was the 3rd of 7 children. Her siblings were Billy Dellinger, Ann Melton, Albert Dellinger, Oralee Grogen, Donnie Dellinger, and Rita Baker.

She met the love of her life, Royal Bell, in the spring of 1954. On December 29, 1955, Royal and Doreen were married in Waxahachie, TX and were happily married for 64 years.  She gave birth to her two sons, Samuel Bell in 1961 and Barry Bell in March 1979. She was a loving and attentive mother to both of her children, and a beloved daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend of many.

No matter what may be going on in a day she would always find something to laugh about. You would often find her with a Pepsi in her hand and something funny on the television such as Big Bang Theory, which was one of her favorite shows. She was unfiltered, but also loving and self-giving and would always put the needs of her loved ones before herself.

She is survived by her husband, Royal Bell, of Waxahachie, TX.; Sister, Ann Melton, of Cleburne, TX.; Sister and Brother-in-law, Rita and Kenny Baker, and family, of Ennis, TX.; Brother and Sister-in law, Donnie and Sherry Dellinger, of  May pearl, TX.; Sister-in-law, Shirley Melton, of Waxahachie, TX.; Son, Barry Bell, of Waxahachie, TX.; Son and daughter-in-law, Sam & Karen Bell of Cedar Hill, TX.;  Grandson and Granddaughter-in-law, +Br.&Sr. Michael & Amanda Bell O.S.B, of Cedar Hill, TX.;  Grandson and Granddaughter-in-law, Mathew &Lauren Bell and family of Glenn Heights, TX.; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and all of her friends whom she held dear.

She will be greatly missed.

A Visitation will be held Friday, December 27th, from 6-8 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral home located at 1826 W. Hwy 287 Business, Waxahachie, TX 75165. A Funeral will be held Saturday, December 28th, at 11 am at St. Paul Episcopal Church located at 624 Ovilla Rd, WaxahachieTx 75167.

Directly after reception, we shall conclude with the committal service at Saint Paul Cemetery on Saturday, December 28th, at 1:30 pm located on St Paul Rd just NW of Midlothian, TX 76065.
