Dora Dickerson

Dora Mae Snider Dickerson, 76 of Ovilla, passes away Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Red Oak. She was born to the late Presley B. and Alta Inez Snider on November 2, 1940 in Ovilla.

Dora graduated High School from Red Oak High School. She retired after 30 years, working at Sears. She was a member of the South Park Assembly of God Church in Waxahachie. She enjoyed her grandkids and great grandkids. Dora loved cooking for her family and going on long car rides. She loved to read and enjoyed playing card games. She never missed a birthday celebration and always loved to give greeting cards. She loved the Lord and always enjoyed going to church.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry Lloyd Dickerson; her sons, Lloyd Wayne Dickerson and Alexandra Walters of Arlington, Randall Dwayne Dickerson and Juanita of Red Oak, Von Jeff Dickerson and Yvonne of California; her sisters, Rita Cuppetelli of Michigan, Patricia Jackson of Tyler; her brother, David Snider and Brenda of Clifton, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Presley B. and Alta Inez Snider; her sister, Kathy Snider; also by her daughter-in-law, Diane Lynn Dickerson.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Gateway Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
