Donna Gayle Winters, 44 of Waxahachie, passed away tragically in an automobile accident on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in Red Oak. Donna was born to Thomas and Lola Russell Thornton on January 12, 1965 in Dallas, Texas.
Donna loved her family and was deeply devoted to each of them. She loved sports, especially baseball, and always umpired and coached in support of her children as they played growing up. She enjoyed hunting and fishing in Colorado and being outdoors. Above all, she was always there for her family. She always brought her family together and always held her family together. Donna was employed by LHP Hospital Group in Plano as an Executive Assistant. There are countless numbers of friends that Donna touched throughout her life and so many that will forever love her and miss her.
She is survived by her husband Shane Winters of Waxahachie; her son, Luke Winters; her daughter, Lilly Winters of Waxahachie; her son, Mathew Rosenbalm; her daughters, Tashina Rosenbalm and Calli Rosenbalm; her mother, Lola Thornton; her sister, Colleen Terry; her brother, Clint Thornton; 1 granddaughter, Christine Rosenbalm.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Baumgardner and by her father, Thomas Thornton.
Services to celebrate Donna's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Caddo Mills High School Gymnasium, Caddo Mills. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the High School Gymnasium and will last until service time.
Additional hours of visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
