Donna T. Michelle, 72, of Mesa, Arizona passed from this life to her Heavenly Home on October 30, 2024. She was born on April 11, 1952, in Ballinger, Texas to Arlis Tounget and Robbie (Foreman) Tounget.
Donna was a believer. She was a Christian and a Baptist.
Donna was Valedictorian of her Senior class in high school and completed college in three years at Angelo State University. She made all As except for one B, which really chapped her. She played the French horn and had a good ear for music. She had a great alto voice.
Donna was a wonderful 6th grade schoolteacher, having taught in Texas, New Jersey, and in Germany with the Department of Defense schools. While in Germany, she became the lead Gifted and Talented schoolteacher. Her strong passion for teaching had a positive influence on thousands of school children.
Donna loved to travel and snow ski. She traveled throughout Europe. She enjoyed the uniqueness of each country she toured.
Donna was an excellent cook. She would take a recipe, add something extra to it, and turn a good recipe into a Great recipe. People were always asking for her recipes.
Donna had an eye for color. Many times people would ask Donna to help them decorate their apartment and arrange their furniture.
After many years in Germany, Donna retired from teaching and moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
In addition to her parents, Arlis and Robbie Tounget, Donna is preceded in death by her infant sister, Janis Tounget, and brother-in-law, John Webb, Sr., and nephew, Jay Webb.
Left to cherish Donna’s memory is her loving family: sister, Shirley Webb, of Ovilla, Texas; nephew, John Webb, Jr., of Ovilla, Texas; niece, Shelly & her husband Mike Gribble, of Kilgore, Texas; and great-nieces: Delayna & her husband Jairo Arteaga, Halley & her husband Robert Foster, and Hannah Gribble, as well as numerous cousins.
A graveside service with Rev. Mike Gribble officiating will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Shiloh Cumberland Cemetery in Ovilla, Texas.
