Donald Dean Tetens, age 72
September 29, 1931
June 8, 2004

Mr. Tetens passed away late Tuesday evening at his residence in Waxahachie. He was born in Cedar Bluff, NE, to Martin and Martha (Hoffman) Tetens. He graduated from Cedar Bluff High School and joined the U.S. Air Force in 1951, being honorably discharged in 1959. He and Betty Watson were married September 18, 1965 in Duncanville. While in Duncanville, he was employed as a salesman for International Harvester Tractor for fifteen years. He moved to Colorado Springs, CO., retired and moved back to Waxahachie in 2002. Mr. Tetens enjoyed woodwork and loved his grandchildren and dogs.

He is survived by: his daughter, Lori Williams and husband Danny of Waxahachie and two grandchildren, Ashley and Casey Williams also of Waxahachie. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Tetens on November 28, 1988; and three brothers, Merle, Lou and Jerome.

The family will receive relatives and friends 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Friday, June 11, 2004 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Bryan Rose of the First Baptist Church of Red Oak officiating. Pallbearers will be Leroy Mahrt, Kim James, Shaun James, Nelson Halford, Kenny Beard and Alan Cleaver. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
