Donald Blake Gordon, III, 56 of Syracuse , NY , formerly of Waxahachie, passed away at his home Sunday morning. He was born to the late Donald Blake Gordon, Jr., and Kay Townley Gordon on February 25, 1953.
Blake graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1971. He worked as a managing supervisor at the Penny Curtiss Bakery in Syracuse , NY . He was an avid sportsman and marksman. Blake was a member of the NRA, and the Scottish Heritage Society. He was a loving father, brother and companion and will be missed by those who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by Diana Gandino, a long time companion of 17 years; 4 children Donna Gordon-McClung, Emily Gordon, Abigail Gordon, and Ben Gordon; 2 brothers, Tim Gordon, Patrick Gordon and his wife, Laura; a sister, Gail Barnes and her husband, Larry; her granddaughter, Celeste McClung; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his niece Katy Gallagher.
Services to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
