Donald Beer

Donald, and his twin brother, Jan were born in Dallas, Texas on April 12, 1944 to Robert and Jean (Shinpaugh) Beer of Waxahachie, Texas.  Donald spent his early childhood on his parents' diary farm.  Later, he moved to Mexia State School, Mexia, Texas, where he became a lifelong resident.  The family is grateful to the Mexia State School community for the care and love that Donald received at his Mexia home for so many years.  Recently, Donald moved to Trinity Mission Nursing Home of Italy, Texas, where he passed away on February 16, 2020, while attended by his family.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Jean Beer.  His survivors include:  twin brother, Col. (R) Jan Beer; his sisters, Barbara and Kathy; and numerous nieces, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5-7 pm Sunday, February 23, 2020, at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.  His funeral services will be at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home at 10 am Monday, February 24, 2020, with FR. William Mouser of St Athanasius Anglican Church officiating.  Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
