Diann Butler
March 3, 1945 - January 22, 2010
Diann McCoy was born in Grand Prairie on March 3, 1945 to Jack and Mary Idotha McCoy. She went to be with her Beloved Lord on the morning of Friday, January 22, 2010, while at home surrounded by family. She was 64 years young.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Diann is survived by her husband of 45 years, Carroll Butler. Together they made a life in Waxahachie and were blessed with one son and one daughter, Scottie Butler and Tammy Butler and her husband Hank Jordan. She was affectionately known as MeMa to her grandchildren: Travis Butler, Kylie Jordan, and Kody Jordan. Diann enjoyed a large family with lots of love and hugs from three sisters, two brothers, numerous aunts and uncles, countless nieces and nephews, and an unlimited number of friends that were considered family. Sisters: Dinah Baughier (twin sister) and her husband James, Linda Gentry, and Pam Gibson and her husband Ken. Brothers: Fred McCoy and his wife Linda Sue, and Mack McCoy.

Diann had 27 years of dedicated service at TXU Electric, and enjoyed retirement in 2001. She was an active member in the Waxahachie Doll Club, and proudly displayed her doll collection throughout the house for all to see. Diann was a dedicated member of Farley Street Baptist Church, as this was like a second home for her, and the enduring friendships developed there will last an eternity. She was also very active in the Model A Ford Club, and always found delight in dressing up in era style attire for the fashion shows. Her passion for life was contagious; as she approached every day with a beautiful smile and kind words for all who crossed her path.

Visitation will be held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie on Sunday, Jan. 24 from 4-6 p.m. Funeral Service at Farley Street Baptist Church in Waxahachie on Monday, Jan. 25 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Sardis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Farley Street Baptist Church building fund (972-937-4603).
