Diane Allison Tilly of San Antonio died tragically on Monday, November 22, 2004. She was born July 6, 1946 in Dallas, TX. to William Taylor Allison and Toy Moss Allison. Diane, who graduated from Waxahachie High School, also received her B.A. from Baylor University and her M.F.A. in School Administration from Trinity University. She was the founding lead teacher at Robbins Academy in San Antonio at the time of her death. She was a member of the Alamo Heights United Methodist Church of San Antonio.



Diane will always be remembered for her exuberant approach to life and her belief in peoples' goodness and potential. She was loved and respected by her students at Robbins Academy, many of whom felt she turned their lives around with her patience, persistence and caring guidance. Diane's colleagues and friends were drawn to her warmth and generosity of spirit. She was a proud grandmother and adoring parent who felt her greatest happiness and achievement in life was raising her two children.



Diane is survived by one daughter, Allison Tilly Carswell, her husband Craig, and grandson, Calvin Taylor Carswell of Arlington, MA.; one son, Stephen Michael Tilly and his wife, Rachael of Austin, TX.; mother, Toy Allison; and brother, Mike Allison of Waxahachie. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William Taylor Allison.



The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM, Friday, December 10, 2004 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Saturday, December 11, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Waxahachie with Dr. Richard Reed officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Autrey, Rusty Marchman, Brett Johnson, Morris Lee, Charlie Wilson, and John Burditt. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Burial Park.



Donations may be made to the Waxahachie First United Methodist Church Organ Fund or to Robbins Academy, c/o The Diane Tilly Fund, Alamo Heights High School, 6900 Broadway, San Antonio, TX. 78209.
