DeWitt T. Anthony of Desoto, TX passed away at home on July 17, 2014 at the age of 70. He was born in Dallas, TX on June 6, 1944 (D Day) to LaFawn & Elmer (Tony) Anthony and was the love of their life. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Claudette Anthony of Desoto, TX; mother, LaFawn Anthony Hatton of Desoto, TX; sister, Sara (Nancy) Galloway & husband, Benny of Austin, TX; son, Michael Anthony & wife Tammy of Red Oak, TX; daughter, Dena Brashear & husband John of Red Oak, TX; as well as 6 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren. DeWitt was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Elmer Anthony; brother, Claude Thormalen of Colorado. He enjoyed singing, baseball, football, and spreading The Word of God whether it was through witnessing, testifying or praising the Lord and he was currently attending The Oaks Fellowship in Red Oak, TX. DeWitt retired as a machinist from Square D Company after 38 years. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Italy Cemetery with Rev. Gene Brooks officiating.
