Delores "Dee" Marcella (Novotny) Anderson was born July 23, 1940 in Anadarko, Oklahoma and went home to be with Our Lord on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in Waxahachie, Texas. She was 79 years old. She spent 58 of those years married to the love of her life, Delmar "Andy" Wayne Anderson. Dee and Andy spent 21 years of their life together in the Army, where she was lovingly given the nickname "Sergeant Major". During their Army days they were stationed at Ft. Belvoir, VA; Ft. Carson, CO; Lawton, OK; Hawaii; and finally Ft. Hood, TX. During their stay in Hawaii she worked a short 3 months at the Dole Pineapple Factory. She was a loving mother and devoted wife. She loved the outdoors and spent many hours fishing and arrowhead hunting with her family. She loved to cook and was known for her "goodie tins" at Christmas time. She was an Auxiliary member of The Legion of Mary at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waxahachie.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, DeWayne Stanley Anderson; her father, Stanley F. Novotny; her mother, Loretta M. (Voegeli) Novotny; a sister, Julia Novotny Jackson; a sister, Bernadette Novotny Leibold; and a brother, Cletus Novotny.
She leaves behind 3 children and 3 sons and daughters in love; Derick Anderson and wife Madeline of Pittsburgh, Texas; Dana Anderson Alford and husband Jeff of Waxahachie, Texas; Joseph Anderson and wife Antonietta of Justin, Texas.
10 Grandchildren; Justin Harrington and wife Chelsea, Richard Anderson, Josie Harrington, Robert Anderson, Katherine Anderson, Zachary Alford, Aubrey Alford, Jacob Alford, Nicole Anderson, and Melissa Anderson.
5 Great Grandchildren; Jaxson Harrington, Waylon Harrington, William Anderson, Elijah Anderson and Madison Anderson.
She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and her remaining brothers and sisters.
