Dell Ray George, Age 74
September 17, 1931

After a long courageous battle with cancer our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grand father slipped away from this life into eternity with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Dell Ray was born September 17, 1931 at Gray, OK. and passed from this life December 14, 2005 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church for 52 years. During that time he taught a Sunday School class of Junior Boys, served as church treasurer, Deacon for over 30 years, head usher and in his later years was an active member on the missions committee.
He and his wife owned and operated City Bicycle Shop for 36 years. After retirement in 1999 he traveled in a number of foreign countries most of which were mission trips.
Dell Ray was a life member of Optimist International and Rock Mountain Elk Foundation. Also a long time member of Gideon's International, he faithfully witnessed and helped distribute Gideon New Testaments and Bibles.
He loved to hunt and fish providing venison every year for his family.
Dell Ray is survived by his wife, JoAnne of 53 years; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Wilkins and husband John, Jennie Reese and husband Marty, Carrie Jackson and husband David, Rose Beard and husband Pete; twelve grandchildren, Angela Diaz and husband Nathan, Victoria Wilkins, Valerie, Heidi and Benjamin Reese, Rebecca, Rachel and Stephen Jackson, Jon-Michael, Christopher, Alan and Brian Beard; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Haley Diaz; two brothers and wives, Loyal and Marie George of Enid, OK., and Delbert and Myrna George of Pawnee, OK.; one "adopted" son, Tommy Hale and wife Allison; numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all.
Come and rejoice with us as we celebrate his home going at 10 AM Saturday morning at Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church in Waxahachie, TX. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell, TX.
Memorials may be made to Gideon's International or to Evangel Temple Assembly of God Missions Department.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
