Delbert Ray Wiser, age 90

Mr. Wiser was born in Ferris, Texas to Claude Calvin and Mattie Ethel (Culver) Wiser. He graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School and Served in the US Army Signal Corps during WWII. Delbert was a farmer before working for Flexsteel Furniture where he retired after 25 years. Delbert was a long time member and Deacon at the South Prong Baptist Church where he had sung in the Choir.
He was an avid walker, gardner and a joy to the nieghborhood.
Delbert is survived by two sisters: Frances Maddran and Rose Nell Trammell both of Waxahachie and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Billy Wiser, and three sisters; Bobbie L Wiser, Margurite Hunter, and Joy Umstead.
The family will recieve friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Thursday, September 3, 2009 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel at Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Chaplain Jerry Bloomfield officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Ronald Maddran, Kenny Johnson, Leonard Trammell, Ricky Wiser, Delbert W Wiser, Joe Bill Wiser. Honorary Pall bearers will be Larry Hunter and Boyd Hunter.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
