Dee Stroope

Darleen “Dee” Sue Stroope, 80, passed away March 17, 2020 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Dee grew up on a farm in Corunna, IN. She worked for the Federal Government for the majority of her career as a contracting specialist and property manager. In retirement, she liked to stay busy. She was a member of Ellis County Master Gardeners and also served on the Ellis County Appraisal Review Board. Dee LOVED her church and church family at First United Methodist Church, Waxahachie. She loved to serve in the church choir, United Methodist Women’s group, her Sunday school class and more! Dee was the daughter of the late Dale and Wilma Treesh of Corunna, Indiana. She is survived by her sister, Roeine Danclovic, of Albuquerque, NM and her brother Alan Treesh of Westminster, SC. Dee is also survived by her three children, Gregory Loomis, Douglas Loomis and Julia Glenn. Her grandchildren include Heather, Erin, Veronica, Scott, Jordan, Makenzie, Delilah, Chad, and Melissa. She had 9 great-grandchildren. She was much loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Waxahachie in her name. Memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
