Deborah Ann Reeves French, 67, went to be with her Lord and Savior April 22, 2017 after a long battle with diabetes and cancer. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Red Oak Cemetery.
Born in 1950, Deborah was the first child of John and JoAnne Reeves with 9 siblings to follow. She and her siblings were raised in Lancaster, Texas. After graduating from Lancaster High School, she attended and graduated from the School of Cosmetology and worked for many years as a licensed beautician. She later changed her career path and worked for 20+ years doing photo retouching and photo restoration. Deborah was a very artistically talented person. It could be seen in her hairstyling as a beautician and in her very tedious work in photo retouching and especially in her photo restoration. But her natural ability showed brightest in her drawings, paintings and portraits. She had a great passion for her artwork; it was not only her hobby but her life's work.
Her greatest passion, however, was her grandson, Dylan French. She formed a close bond with Dylan as she cared for him from a young age through his school years while his parents worked. They had great times and were "good buddies".
Deborah loved her family and loved her Lord and Savior. We know she has a place with him now.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, John and JoAnn Reeves, her daughter-in-law, Stephanie French, who was her best friend, and her infant brother, Russell Reeves.
Deborah is survived by her son, Steve French, her one and only precious grandson, Dylan French; siblings, Becky Welch, John Reeves Jr., David Reeves, Danny Reeves, Randy Reeves, Len Reeves, Pat Reeves and Chris Reeves, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
