David (Dave) Eder

February 1, 1945 — June 18, 2020

Waxahachie

David Lee Eder, 75 passed away on June 18, 2020 at Baylor Scott and White in Waxahachie, TX.

Dave always considered himself a jack of all trades but master of none.  Though all of those that knew him well, know that he could do anything he set his mind to.  From building a porch to building a house he was a master carpenter.  But his music is where his heart was.  He always made sure he gave his greatest performance at his senior dances with his band.  There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for someone if he knew they were in need.  To all his close friends, breakfast buddies, band mates, and groupies always know he loved you dearly.  His grandchildren and great grandson will cherish all the memories and keep them close to their heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Wanetta Eder; siblings Pat White, Stephen Eder, and two very special ladies Linda Hill, and Mary Meeks.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Monica and Joey Slade; son, David; grandchildren, Mariah and Dustin Shortnacy, Joey Slade, Jr., and Emery Slade;  great grandson, Hudson Shortnacy; sister, Ann Reed and Tommy, and brother Roman Eder and Myrna, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
