David Paul Vaughn, age 45

Mr. Vaughn passed away Tuesday afternoon at Baylor Medical Center, Waxahachie. David was born in Friona, Texas to Odell and Helen Myers Vaughn. He was raised in Waxahachie attending Waxahachie Schools. David had been employed in the electrical and construction trade for many years with Poor Boy Construction, Wiley Electric and Palmer Studio. David was also an avid guitarist and fisherman.
He is survived by: his parents, Odell and Helen Vaughn; two brothers, Jimmy and Dale Vaughn, Phillip Vaughn, all of Waxahachie; sister, Virginia and Allen Hess of Palmer; nephews, James Lee, Brice, Bo, and Derrick Vaughn; and many close family friends, including Bubba Storz and Melissa Miller.
The family will receive friends and family 6-8 PM Sunday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Trinity Praise and Worship Church, 802 E. Marvin, Waxahachie, with Pastor David Harness officiating. Interment will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Vaughn, Philip Vaughn, Allen Hess, Scott Kirk, Brian Morrow, Johnny Stevens, Kelly Morrow and Bobby Morris. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Lee Vaughn, Brice Vaughn, Bo Vaughn, Derrick Vaughn, Jason Vaughn, Terry Miller, Terry Bell, David Esselman and Timmy Guest.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
