David Paul Sartor, aka “Professor”, passed away on January 12, 2020 at the age of 59 in Midlothian, Texas.
David was born in Dallas, TX on March 25 1960 to Maude and Ray Sartor. David grew up in Dallas until the age of 13 when he and his parents moved to Red Oak, TX. David loved all things outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, ride motorcycles, work on cars, play sports, and play golf. He graduated from Red Oak High School in 1978. David attended the University of Texas for two years. At the age of 24 David went to work for Lock-Heed Martin as a machinist. He worked there for 35 years until he retired on Thursday, January 9, 2020. David had a heart as big as he was. He never met a stranger and could out talk anyone. He was the most honest and loving person you ever met. David joined the Gryphon Motorcycle club in 2007. He has served as the President of that club for the past 3 years. David has been very involved in the Ellis County Toy Run for the past 12 years and could be found as the MC of a benefit at least once a month and sometimes up to three a month. He was always there for anyone in need. He has been with the love of his life, Beth Bryson since October, 2000.
David is preceded in death by his parents Maude Rundell Sartor and Raymond Watkins Sartor. He leaves behind wife Beth Bryson, 2 daughters Wendy McClain and husband Dale, and Yvonne Doshier; three granddaughters, Tiffany, Tabitha and, Brittany; and grandson, Billy; eight great grand kids; a brother, T.R. Sartor, a sister, Susan Bruce and husband Pat; a sister in law, Rita Richardson; a brother in law, James Billings and wife Loretta; three nieces; ten great nieces and nephews; and lots of cousins and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie and the Funeral service will be Monday, January 20, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Cowboy Church of Ellis County. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
