David Neal Padgett, age 52

Mr. Padgett, lifetime Waxahachie resident, passed away Monday afternoon at Baylor Medical Center Dallas, surrounded by his family. He was born to Woodrow and Aline (Crouch) Padgett. He attended schools in Waxahachie and was employed with Dilly Trailer, and Ennis Steele for the past twenty four years. Mr. Padgett was married to Sheereh Adams for over twenty eight years.

His survivors include: sons, Gordon Padgett, his wife, Jennifer and their daughter, Kaleigh of Waxahachie, Robert and Trudy Whitt of Maypearl, David Whitt of Clyde and Raymond Whitt of Avalon; a very special friend, Brenda Thomas; sisters, Deborah Padgett of Waxahachie, Carolyn Roberson of White House, TX., and Mary Ann Knight and husband Tim of Mertens; a very special aunt who was like a mother, Mary Turner; sister-in-law, Martha Padgett Thomas; grandchildren, Kaleigh Padgett, Ashlee Whitt, Jordan Whitt, David Whitt, Jr. and Cody Daniel Whitt; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two brothers.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 2 PM Friday, January 27, 2006 at the New Life Worship Center, Waxahachie, with Brother Terry Cross officiating. Pallbearers will be Wallace Lott, Doyle Brown, John Helm, Dwight Bryson, Glenn Hill, Chadd Bentley, Jackie Gilbert and Kevin Gibbons. Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
