David Mongold

David "M.R." Mongold of Venus, Texas passed away Thursday, January 05, 2017 after a brief four month battle with lung cancer. He was born August 14, 1953 in Gary, Indiana. He had a life-long love of motorcycles and was a member of A.B.A.T.E. in Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merlin Mongold; his mother Shirley Myers; step-father: Florian "Chic" Lempart and step-brothers: Terry & Jerry.
He is survived by his wife Dawna; half-sisters: Sue & Teri of Arizona; adopted brother Richard of California; aunt Peggy of Indiana; many nieces and nephews; a family of in-laws that loved him very much and many friends. His sense of humor will be missed and his bravery in light of his illness will remain an inspiration for all of those who knew him.
