David Husted

David D. Husted, 59 of Arlington, formerly of Waxahachie, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 in an Arlington hospital. He was born February 2, 1954 in Waxahachie. David grew up in Waxahachie and graduated from Waxahachie High School. He later attended Tyler Junior College and went on to University of North Texas. After UNT, David took over the Du-All Shop, the family business, upon the death of his father. He enjoyed sunny days playing golf and was an avid golfer. David enjoyed hosting and entertaining, having friends and family over for cook outs and BBQ. David was the owner and operator of Duncan Roofing Concepts of Arlington. He loved being around his family and friends and spending time with them. David will be missed by so many who knew him and loved him dearly. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah J. Husted of Arlington; his sons, Preston K. Husted of Grand Prairie and Patrick D. Husted and his wife, Brittany of Dallas; his daughter, Brittany E. Husted-Lewis of San Antonio; his sisters, Mary Jane Henry and her husband, Dan of Waxahachie, Ellen Brown and her husband, Kirk of Waxahachie and Nancy Nelson and her husband, Thomas of Waxahachie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary Lee Husted; also by his nephew, Drew Nelson. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, Waxahachie with Rev. Jerry Galloway officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. A private service will be held at Hillcrest Burial Park.
