David M. Hattan, 59, of Midlothian, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. He was born in Fremont, Nebraska on November 28, 1961. He was married to Melinda Hattan on March 19, 2010, in Kauai, Hawaii. David had a career in Software Sales and was employed by freshworks at the time of his death. David’s passions included; family, nerf gun wars with his grandchildren, being an armchair quarterback for the Nebraska Huskers and Minnesota Vikings, movies and popcorn, and perfecting the fatty on the grill. David had a full life of travel and never met a stranger. His ability to genuinely connect with people led to his success in sales and communications and fostered lifelong friendships. David’s devotion to his family could be seen in the eyes of his loved ones and felt by being in his presence. His family and friends alike enjoyed sharing with David leisurely days by the pool and always knew that a laugh was right around the corner.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur D. Hattan and Doris J. (Statz) Hattan. He is survived by his wife Melinda Hattan of Midlothian, three children Heather (Jeremy) Haimes of Canton, Kaylynn (Donnie) McGuire of Duncanville, Mason Burkes of Midlothian, 6 grandchildren Madalyn, Haley, Estella, Alex, Parker, and Bethany; three sisters Lura (Richard) Cayton of Blue Springs, Missouri, Lynelle Yzaguirre of DeSoto, Valerie Romberg of Indianapolis, Indiana, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
