David Jenkins

David C. Jenkins, 95, of Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully Friday, June 11, 2021.  David was born December 10, 1925 in Waxahachie, Texas to Walter G. and Beatrice Jenkins.

Eager to serve his Country, he enlisted into the United States Coast Guard where he bravely fought in the Battle of Okinawa during World War II, after which he was Honorably Discharged.

In 1960, he went to work as a Security Officer for Bell Helicopter until he retired in January of 1986 with 25.9 years of service.

He enjoyed traveling, bowling, fishing and mowing and he really enjoyed visiting with friends.

He is survived by his Wife of 55 years, Lois G. Jenkins, Daughter, Sherry Bowling, Daughter and Son-in-Law, Rhonda & Alan Kilburn, Daughter-in-Law, Brenda Jenkins, Sister-in-Law, Geraldine Jenkins, 9 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, Son, David A. Jenkins, Son, William R. Jenkins and his 12 Bothers and Sisters.
