Mr. Box passed away Saturday morning at Baylor Medical Center Waxahachie.
He was born to C.D. and Lois (Rowe) Box in Conroe, Texas.
He was a graduate of Oak Cliff Christian High School, Past Chief of Police at Tawakoni; served as Deputy Sheriff in Rains County; Reserve police officer in Caddo Mills (Hunt County); and was a volunteer fireman in Cumby, Texas. He started his plumbing business in Cumby and continued his business in Waxahachie until he became disabled. He was a member of IOOF in Waxahachie, serving as Past Noble Grand. He also served as president of Renfro Residents Association.
He is survived by one son, Christon Box; one daughter, Heather Box and her fiancée Richard Williams; a brother Ken Box and wife Dietra all of Waxahachie. Also surviving are nephews Nick Box of Ben Wheeler and Paul Box and his wife Natalie of Corsicana.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM Monday, March 29th. The Celebration of Life will be at 10 AM Tuesday, March 30th at Ferris Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend David Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Sunny Point Cemetery in Cumby, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
