Darrell Jackson

Darrell Dewayne Jackson “Diamond", 68, of Italy, Texas, left us on January 22, 2022 surrounded by his wife and children. Darrell was born on November 23, 1953 in Ennis, Tx to Ira Nat and Nora Myrtle Jackson, he was the youngest of 17 children.

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Teddy Jack, Jeff, Leroy, Bob, Donnie, Gary; sister Delores.

Darrell is survived by his wife Linda, six children: Darrell Jr and wife Trish, Darla, Daren and wife Heather, Cotton and wife Nicole, Kris and wife Meghann, Ryan and wife Katie, stepchildren: Kimberlyn Kincaid, Jackie Spencer, Patsy Clark and husband Kenny, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Melvin, sisters Billie Jo, Iva Dell, Faye, Gloria, Ruby, Linda, Patsy, and Barbara.

Darrell attended the Holiness Church of Jesus Christ. He loved the Lord and he loved the truth. He wanted everyone to know the truth. He wasn’t ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, it meant everything to him. Darrell was a soft-hearted Papa with a tough exterior. He loved his family and didn’t mind letting everyone know that. He loved a good deal. He was the best at buying, selling, and trading. He loved a good flea market. He loved family reunions and any chance to be with his family and friends. You couldn’t keep him still; he was going to find a way to get to his shop or on that tractor. He was a hard worker. He was the first one on the job and he couldn’t rest until he got it done. He loved big, even when you couldn’t see it. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
