Darlene Dale Schubach

September 8, 1950 — June 22, 2024

Darlene Dale Schubach passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at her home in Waxahachie, Texas. She was the daughter of Bob Osborne and the late Loudale Osborne.

She was born in Waco on September 8, 1950. She then spent most of her childhood in San Antonio until the family moved to Lubbock, where she finished high school. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She moved to Waxahachie in the mid-2000s to be a full-time caretaker for her mother.

She was a strong woman - the type who survived the Waco tornado of 1955 and fought off a vicious dog attack just recently. Yet, she was a quiet girl who loved to keep up with everyone through phone calls and social media. She loved her online shopping - favorites being Amazon and H-E-B. She spent a lot of her time in the yard and took extra special care with her rose bushes. She loved motorcycles just like her daddy, but came by it naturally considering he would have her on one holding the handlebars by the age of two. She lived for her family vacations and couldn’t wait for them to come each year.

Darlene is preceded in death by her brother, Lance Osborne, her mother, Loudale Osborne, and her daughter, Shawn Shields. She is survived by her father, Bobby Osborne of Waxahachie; her son Kelly (Tammy) Schubach; her granddaughter, Amanda (Shawn) Schubach; grandsons - Cody (Sam) Schubach; Corey Schubach, all of San Antonio; and her two great grandsons; Finn Schubach and Nick Schubach. She is also survived by many close, loved friends.

A visitation service to celebrate her life is scheduled for Monday, July 1, 2024 from 5-8pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 10am at Waco Memorial Park in Waco, Texas.
