Cynthia Platts

Cynthia Lynn Platts, 62 of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Mansfield. She was born to the late Gordon and Ardith Cory Racho on February 7, 1951 in Ocean Side, CA. Cynthia loved to go camping and enjoyed gardening. She loved to cook and find new recipes. She never missed her grandkids sports events and lived for her grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do was to travel and go on cruises. She especially enjoyed multiple visits to Disneyland and had a season pass before moving to Texas. A loving wife, mother and grandmother will be missed by so many. She is survived by her husband, Doug Platts of Waxahachie; her daughters, Joyce McCord and her husband, Donald of Victorville, CA, Jenice Gardner and her husband, Brent of Waxahachie; her brother, Michael Racho of Oregon; her sister, Sherrie Brown of Sparda, MO; and also by her beloved 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Ardith Racho. A memorial service is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Brian Shipman officiating.
