Cynthia Denton Permenter

Cynthia Elaine Denton Permenter went to be with our Heavenly Father on August 16, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, TX on Saturday, August 24, at 1 pm. A visitation for friends and family will be held afterwards. Cindy was born to James and Joyce (Blassingame) Denton on November 1, 1952. She was married to her husband of 43 years, John Permenter, on Valentines Day 1981. Cindy retired from the Army Air Force Exchange Service in 2022. She was also a former CPA with superb administrative and organizational skills. She used those skills to homeschool her children and to assist the girls’ ministry at Trinity Church and Gateway Church. She was a mighty prayer warrior who was always available for anyone needing help. Her main focus in life was letting God’s Love shine through her like the Texas sun on a summer day. 

She was the devoted wife of John S. Permenter, loving mother of Heather N. Permenter, Grant S. Permenter and mother-in-law to his wife Faithe Rotz Permenter, doting CiCi to grandson Jack James Permenter, caring sister to James Sterling Denton and his family, Kim Denton, Brianna, Danae, Dakota, and Destin, and honorable daughter to her deceased parents, James and Joyce Denton. 

One of Cindy’s final wishes was for her service to be a celebration of life. It was Cindy’s desire that those who plan to attend her service wear joyful colors. Also, in lieu of flowers, she asked that any donations in her name be made to the Dallas Arboretum.
