Cynthia Jewell Butler, 79 of Hillsboro, formerly of Waxahachie, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2009 at her residence. She was born to the late Robert E. and Cynthia Sells Wilson on May 3, 1929 in Ellis County, Texas.

She is survived by her sister, Irma Bradley of Hillsboro; her grandson, Brently Kent of Tyler; her granddaughter, Jennifer Caudle of League City; her great-grandsons, Edward Denney Caudle and Dylan Matthew Caudle of League City; numerous nieces and nephews; and her friends at Allen's Point Apartments.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Butler; her son, Robert N. Kent; her grandson, Keith Mann; her brothers, David Wilson, Roy Herman Wilson, Roscoe Wilson, Johnathan Wilson, Olan Wilson; her sisters, Mary Shaw, and Moneta Edwards.

Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. Interment will follow at Mt. Peak Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home up until service time.
