Csaba Finta

Csaba Gyula Finta was born October 8, 1938 in Körmènd, Hungary. He grew up in Sárvár, Hungary and left at the age of 18 due to the Soviet uprising in 1956.

He went to Norway and became a Norweigian citizen to be able to come to the United States.

In 1957, Csaba arrived in New York with the help of the Catholic Charities. He traveled by bus to Magnolia, Arkansas to attend Southern State College. After two years, Csaba enrolled at Oklahoma State University and graduated in January, 1963 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Csaba moved to Dallas and started his 25 year career with Dixico, Inc. in Oak Cliff. During this time, Csaba started his own sports photography business and ran it successfully for 30 years.

After retirement, there was much international traveling and cruises to many countries which Csaba loved.

Csaba passed away August 12, 2022, peacefully at home, at the age of 83. Csaba was preceded in death by his parents, Gyula and Ilona Finta, and brother Gyula.

Csaba is survived by is wife of 38 years, Karla K. Finta, sons Edward (wife Nancy) and Robert (wife Leslie) Finta, 5 grandchildren; Emily, Austin, Thomas, Haley and Avery; his sister Ilona Karolyi in Veszpém, Hungary and many cousins, nieces and nephews residing in Hungary.
