It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie Faye Morgan Winter, who departed this life peacefully, surrounded by her family and close friends, on September 19, 2024, after a brave battle with ALS. Born in Texarkana, Texas, on December 26, 1962, Connie was a cherished daughter, devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.
Connie graduated from James Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas, in 1981, and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1985. Throughout her career in Quality Management, Connie earned a reputation as a respected professional, known for her dedication and commitment to excellence.
In her personal life, Connie was a devoted wife to her husband, Michael Winter, and an attentive mother to her children, Morgan Walters and Mason Winter. She took great joy in being a grandmother to Bryson Walters, and her role as "Mimi" brought her immense happiness. Connie also shared a deep bond with her very best friend, Brenda, and their friendship brought her much joy and laughter over the years.
Connie had a passion for shopping and traveling, exploring the world with an adventurous spirit. Connie’s love for the beach was a special part of her life, where she found peace and joy in the waves and sun. She also treasured her dogs, who brought her unconditional love and companionship. Her vibrant personality and love for life endeared her to everyone who knew her. To know Connie was truly to love her.
Connie is survived by her beloved mother, Carolyn Morgan; her father and stepmother, Ronald and Janice Morgan; her husband of 35 years, Michael Winter; her daughter, Morgan Walters; her son-in-law, Tylor Walters; her cherished grandson, Bryson Walters; her son, Mason Winter; and her daughter-in-law, ShyAnne Winter.
A memorial service to celebrate Connie’s life will be held on Thursday, September 26 at 2PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
