Clyde Thomas (Tommy) Williams passed away peacefully on August 1, 2018 in Italy, TX. He was born on December 3, 1947 in Odessa, Texas to James E. (Billy) Williams and Dorothy Juanita Williams. He was raised and attended schools in Waxahachie, TX. He enlisted in the military in 1965 and was a member of the Army National Guard of Texas through his discharge in 1967. His specialty service was wheel vehicle mechanics and sharpshooter with M-14 rifle.
He married Martha Nell Ellis of Maypearl in 1969, a union in which two children were born, April Leigh and Jason Ellis.
Tommy had a very strong work ethic all his life. His younger years, he worked as an auto mechanic, air conditioning engineer, and in electronics before becoming employed by Big 3 Industries in Longview, TX in 1976 where he was an electrical engineer. Big 3 transferred him to Freeport, TX in 1979, where he worked through 1991. Later, he worked for Henderson Engineers in Dallas where he was a cryogenics cryo-genius, shift lead, and plant manager, giving him the opportunity to travel to Honduras and Puerto Rico to work. He became a partner at CD Davis Electric in Waxahachie until his retirement.
In 1988, he married Kristina Johnson Williams of Lake Jackson, TX.
Tommy had many talents, hobbies, and special interests. He had a genius mathematical mind, and could fix or solve anything. He loved to work on small engines, radio control airplanes and helicopters, and handmade knives. He was part of the Waxahachie CB Radio Club, Winchester 74. He enjoyed hunting, camping, motorcycles, cooking, and shooting.
He was preceded in death by his father, James E. (Billy) Williams, mother, Dorothy Juanita Williams, sister, Carolyn Sue Lawler, and nephew, Jeremy Nance Lawler.
Survivors include his wife, Kristina Johnson Williams; daughter, April Gonzales and her husband, Richard; son, Jason Williams and his wife, Tracy; granddaughters, Courtney Gonzales and Peyton Williams; brother, James Williams, Jr. and his wife Freddie; and three nieces, Michelle Roland, Janet Leon, and Monica Lawler.
Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 12:00 PM Tuesday, August 07, 2018 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel in Waxahachie.
