Clyde was born in Milam County, Texas to Claude C. Vinton and Ruth (Massey) Vinton. On June 22, 1973 Clyde married Margaret Baird in Dallas, where they lived until moving to Waxahachie in 1985. Clyde was a member of Northside Church of Christ. He was employed with the City of Dallas in traffic control, where he retired in 1983.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret; also a number of nieces, and nephews and many friends.

The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday 3-5 PM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his life will be 10 AM Monday August 8, 2005 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel, officiating Dr. Owen Cosgrove.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
