Clyde Ellis Cook, 76, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2007 at his home in Waxahachie. Clyde was born July 23, 1931 in Percilla, Texas to Ira Odell and O'della Mae Cook. Clyde graduated from Grapeland High School and attended Sam Houston State College before serving in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a purchasing agent for Standard Manufacturing, Inc. of Dallas for 25 years. He is survived by his loving wife of four years, Violet Juanita Cook of Waxahachie; sons, David Ellis Cook of Shawnee OK., Jerry Wayne Cook and wife, Marcia of Houston; daughters, Judy Ann Burden and husband, Tommy of Waxahachie, and Debra Jayne Cook and partner Laura Bond of Houston; grandchildren, Alexis E. Cook, Jessica Bailey Cook, Joshua Evan Cook, and Shyann Nicole Burden; great grandchild, Brielle Marie Marlette. He is also survived by his loving stepchildren Mark Hooper of Houston, Randy Hooper and wife, Kathryn of Waxahachie, Diana Holy and husband, Robert of Ennis; step-grandchildren, Cristina Hooper, Marissa Hooper, Andrea Ketcham, Katherine Owens,John Hooper and Emily Hooper; uncle, James Marion Cook and wife, Dottie of Palestine; aunt, Ella Marie Ward of Weatherford, and aunt, Daisy Cook of Palestine. Visitation will be Tuesday November 6, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Whispering Waters Mausoleum at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas.
