Clyde Cagle passed away Friday morning at Pleasant Manor Living Center in Waxahachie. He was born in Chatfield Texas to Walter Oliver Cagle and Birdie May Denson Cagle. He married Izetta Sue Brooks in Waxahachie on August 11, 1940.
Clyde served in the US Navy 1944-1946 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Tripoli in the Pacific Theater. He received an Honorable Discharge. Clyde was a member of Farley Street Baptist Church. He worked for Rex Odom and CA Wilson for many years. Clyde served in the Ellis County Emergency Corps for many years. He helped coach Little League Lions Baseball team. Clyde loved golf, football, and baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Izetta Cagle, a son Steve and his wife Jenny Cagle of Waxahachie, two daughters, Anita Mabry and , companion Sharon Allen of Granbury, Renda Conder Hewitt and her husband Ralph, a brother Roy P. "Buster" Wright" all of Waxahachie, and a sister Willie Mae Owens of Corsicana. He is also survived by six grandchildren Sean Cagle, Duane Conder, Leslie Kuykendal, Stephen Mabry, Terry Mabry, Lisa Schumaker, and ten great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, October 19, 2003 from 6-8 P.M. at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be Monday, October 20, 2003 at 10 A.M. in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel, Wayne Boze Funeral Home, with Reverend Roger McCuistion officiating. Interment will follow in the Sardis Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Farley Street Baptist Church.
