Clinton Derrick Sanchez, age 23

Clinton, a lifetime Waxahachie resident, passed away at Baylor Hospital Waxahachie Wednesday evening. He was born in Waxahachie to Daniel and Terri Sanchez. He was a 1998 graduate of Waxahachie High School and also a tuba player for the WHS Band. Clinton was a truck driver for Dick Simon Trucking. He was currently a substitute teacher for Waxahachie Independent School District. Clinton loved spending time with his friends. He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.

Clinton is survived by: his mother and step father, Terri and David Presley; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Peggy Yates; step grandmother, Pat Presley; sisters, Sarah and Carlee Presley, and Marla Harris and husband Danny; niece, Kaytlyn Harris; nephew, Brent Harris all of Waxahachie; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Sanchez, step grandfather, Wendell Presley and grandmother Iris Sanchez.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Friday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Saturday, January 17, 2004 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Billy H. Wheatley and Jerry Alphin officiating. Pallbearers will be Tres Medlock, Danny Harris, Joseph Stewart, Jacob Stewart, Jerry Smith and Matt Cook. Interment will follow in Waxahachie City Cemetery.
