Clarence M. Jordan of Waxahachie passed away Sunday, January 29th with his family at his side. He was born October 14, 1933 in Rice, Texas to Thomas E. Jordan and Elvie L. Dennis Jordan. Mr. Jordan retired from the UT Southwestern Medical School as Assistant Police Chief with 29 years of service. He was currently employed with the Ellis Co. Sheriff's Department. Mr. Jordan belonged to the IOOF Lodge #80 and the Masonic Lodge #90 in Waxahachie. He was a member of the Christian Church and attended the Rockett Christian Church.

Mr. Jordan is survived by: his wife of 40 years, Betty Dean Jordan; children, Cindy Faye Jordan of McKinney, TX., Peggy Mae Barron and husband Ricky of Edgewood, TX., Leslie Annette Pickard of Waxahachie, Carolyn Sue Redding of Brownfield, TX., and John David of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Melissa Liske, Jennifer Buie, Ryan Pickard, Jill Dosier, Megan Jordan, Raynie Jordan and Lee Barron; great grandchildren, Wade Ryan Pickard, Emily Mae Pickard, Hailey Liske and Will Whitford; brothers, Edd Jordan, Bill Jordan and Leon Jordan; sisters, Betty Hopgood and Edna Neeley. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Wednesday, February 1, 2006 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Ministers C. D. Haun and Reggie Underwood officiating. Pallbearers will be Ray Stewart, Royce Gothard, Charles Sullins, Robert Brummett, O. E. Stanton , and Ed Patterson. Interment will follow in the Bell's Chapel Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
