Clara Charlotte Thomas, age 68
November 23, 1934
November 9, 2003

Mrs. Thomas passed away Sunday morning at her Duncanville residence. She was born in Mt. Peak, TX. to Wilson and Ruby Mae (Wood) Ward. She graduated from Venus High School. She and John Thomas were married Feburary 16, 1961 in Dallas. Mrs. Thomas worked for the Dallas VFW for 17 years, was Secretary for Practicle Drawing in Dallas during the 1950's and was City Secretary of Woodland Hills, TX. seven years before the city was incorporated into DeSoto and Duncanville. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary and M.O.C.A. Mrs. Thomas never met a stranger and always thought the best of everyone. She had lived in Duncanville since 1962 and was of the Non Denominational faith.

She is survived by: one daughter, Jonette Reeves of Duncanville; three grandchildren, Lyle Edward Wright, Angela DaLynn Armstrong and Brianna Cheyenne Reeves; two great grandchildren, Destiny Dianne Armstrong and Alexandria Elizabeth Wright; seven nieces and five nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 29 years, John; son, Larry Dayle Armstrong; and brother, Ralph Ward.

The family received friends and relatives 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with VFW Chaplain Lonnie Thomas officiating Pallbearers will be Dustin Thomas, Timothy Thomas, Jason Metcalf, Brian Cobb, Brian Jinx and Jeremey Ford. Interment will follow at Mt. Peak Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
