Chrysteen Brown, age 86

Mrs. Brown passed away Thursday night. She was born in Marlin, Texas to O. E. and Eula (McCoy) Blakley. She married William Ted Brown of Waxahachie on February 14, 1935. They were married over sixty years. She was a loving mother, loyal friend and confidant, a fantastic cook and a prayer warrior who loved Jesus. Mrs. Brown was a member of the South Prong Baptist Church of Waxahachie, and a member of the Rebekah Lodge for over 50 years.

Her survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Vickie Brown of Red Oak; sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Byron Smith of Richardson; two grandchildren, Gyna Gober and Greg of Colleyville, Lori and Drew Chandler of Waxahachie; four great grandchildren, Tyler and Colten Gober, Kirby, Gibson and Waylon Chandler. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant son.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5-7 PM Saturday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be 3 PM Sunday, April 2, 2006 at the Hillcrest Burial Park with Nick Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be John Sullivan, Ted O. Brown, Larry Brown, Jackie Allen, Joe White and Gary Bishop.
