Christopher Dean Kelly, age 40, of Waxahachie passed away May 26th at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.
Chris is survived by his two children, Daylen Kelly and Aubrey Kelly; his mom and dad, Carol and Larry Kelly; his two brothers, Patrick and Steven Kelly; 12 aunt’s and uncles, Richard and Carol Kelly, John and Mary Ann Lowther, Mary and Ron Mondlak, Kathy Lowther, Roger Fry, Brent and Joey Harte, Deanna Lowther and Rob Evans; and 4 nieces and nephews, Leah Kelly, Caleb Kelly, Mason Kelly, and Whitley Kelly.
Chris graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1999. He enjoyed playing percussion in the band. After high school, he attended several colleges, his favorite was The University of Oklahoma.
Chris started a family after college. Denise and Chris enjoyed church outings every day of the week. He has two loving kids, Daylen and Aubrey.
Chris started working at Chuy’s as a waiter and progressed through the career path to become a manager. He opened the Chuy’s in Arlington. A lot of people that really know Chris saw him at SnowBiz after he left Chuy’s. Chris really enjoyed seeing his friends and family come up and get snowcones. He always had a bright smile on his face when he was working.
Chris spent a lot of time playing card games. He was well known for his master bridge skills. He taught several classes out at the Senior Citizens Center in Waxahachie. He also travelled throughout Texas to play with other bridge opponents.
Services to celebrate Chris’s life will be held on Saturday, June 19th from 2 to 5 P.M. The memorial service will be at 4 P.M. at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
