Charles Woodson

January 27, 1952 — December 8, 2017

Charles Monte Woodson, age 65, went to be with our Heavenly Father after complications with heart issues on Friday, December 8, 2017 in Kemp, Texas surrounded by his loving family.

Monte, as he preferred to be called, had several different types of Jobs in his lifetime, but two in particular were Owens corning fiberglass in Waxahachie for a number of years. Later, he got married in a second marriage to Debra Woodson and bought his very own home and property in Kemp, Texas where he moved and began working for Ennis ISD for at least 25 years, if not more prior to retirement in 2014. Monte took pride in all his jobs, and always did his best to attempt to fix anything! He enjoyed working on motors and learning how they functioned. He also enjoyed working on his own lawn and garden, which is exactly what he did after retirement, he had a beautiful yard and a small bountiful garden!

Monte loved family and friends, animals, fishing and boat rides, just to name a few of his interests. He loved the Word of God and to spread the word as much as he could to who ever would listen and sometimes to those who didn't want to, but he still tried, he never gave up! He preached every Sunday at his very own church along with his faithful Deacons by his side at Spring Creak Independent Baptist church in Kemp, Texas.

Monte was a man who loved to laugh and to make you laugh, he always had a joke in his pocket ready to pull out at anytime and it was almost always funny! He never met a stranger, he could make friends anywhere he went! His smile and warm soul would light up the darkest room! it made no difference to Monte, "IF HE KNEW YOU,HE LOVED YOU!"

Survivors include his wife Debra Kay Woodson, three children: Tonya Marie Woodson and fiancé Brandon of Italy, TX, Chaz Woodson and Wife Amber of Kemp, TX, Stephanie Martinez and husband James of Waxahachie, TX.
